About PlaidSong: PlaidSong, featuring Nicky and Syd from Perth, Scotland, is a traditional music duo known for their captivating blend of historical research and original songwriting. Nicky, an award-winning singer from a young age, and Syd, a seasoned guitarist and songwriter, bring together a rich tapestry of Scotland’s musical heritage. Their performances include adaptations of traditional Scottish tunes and original compositions, offering a unique musical experience that resonates with themes of history and culture​.
